Few days after being led to write Praising Through The Storm, I was hit to my face with a terrible school result that I was not expecting and to be honest, I sometimes feel like I am fighting a lost battle.
After a night of tears, I woke up and headed to class. I got home, laid on the floor and right then, I heard “The battle is the Lord's”. I quickly opened my Bible and was led to this verse
2 Chronicles 20:17
You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.
At some point in our lives, we just need to come to the realisation that we can't fight every battle on our own. In this verse, the people had to realise that they had no power against their enemies. We are always fighting battles on our own and suffocating in the midst of it.
Once they realised their mistake of not placing God first, they went back to Him. As faithful as He always is, God told them not to be afraid or dismayed. He assured them that the battle was not theirs but it was His- the same assurance He is giving us today.
I heard it clearly and I am writing it here today, THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS!
The educational, marital, health, financial battle is not yours but it is the Lord's. You just need to realise that there is no pain or hurt that He can not heal, and that all things will work out according to His perfect will.
This goes to me! This word was given directly to me and I know someone else needs it. There is no sorrow that He can't heal. All will work to glorify His Name.
The battle is not for you to fight! It is His, so allow Him to come in and fight it for you. Immediately, this message was given to me, I was led to The Battle is the Lord’s by Yolanda Adams-you will love this song.
Hold your head up! This battle is the Lord’s. This isn't the time to give up. We all have to push one more time and keep going again.
